I returned to my classroom today to start on a few projects. For some reason I cannot just work on one project, I need to work on many. Over the last few years I have collected many different baskets of all shapes and sizes. I have decided I would like all my baskets to be the same color, so I purchased some plastic spray paint in black.
This is what they look like so far. I started with six baskets, so now I only have about twenty more to go. The second project I was working on I found an on Lady Bug Teacher Files. She puts contact paper on her tables to make them all look alike. Since I have a variety of tables with different shades of wood, I decided I wanted to try the contact paper idea.

Love it! How'd you get it so smooth!?

PS I'm having a linky and would love for you to join!
I worked with small sections and I used a shopping card to help me smooth. What you don't see in the picture is crumpled up contact paper thrown in the floor. I learned my lesson on going slow and not rushing. Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteI love the idea of using contact paper for the tables! I would love something different than wood. :) Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI like the neutral look. It would blend with anything (and it won't be as obvious if there are a few nicks or tears) I'm with Jessica... impressive job! Mine would have LOTS of bumps and wiggles...
I haven't been motivated to start any new projects yet, but I am sure having fun following yours!
Thanks for sharing...
